Cranbrook transfer station named 2024 top collector

Interchange Recycling has named the Cranbrook transfer station as one of the top collectors for 2024.

Interchange Recycling is a non-profit focusing on the collection and recycling of lubricating oil, oil filters, oil containers, antifreeze and antifreeze containers.

“The Depot at the Cranbrook Transfer Station is a very busy site and we see many residents taking advantage of this eco-friendly and cost-effective way to recycle hazardous materials,” said RDEK general manager of engineering and environmental services Kevin Paterson.

The top collector awards recognizes 30 collection facilities for exemplary performance and commitment to the collection of used oil and antifreeze materials.

“Thank you to our staff for working hard to provide a convenient, environmentally friendly, and easy-to-use facility for the public, and to residents for making the effort to reduce their environmental footprint,” added Paterson.
