Sparwood adopts 2025 financial plan

Sparwood’s 2025-2029 financial plan and tax rates bylaw has been approved by district council.

The tax levy increase that residents can expect this year will be 7.5 per cent.

District staff say a bulk of the increase is to keep up with regular inflation, but policing and recreation reserve funds are part of it as well.

Residents will also see a $100 sewer parcel tax increase due to the waste water treatment plant project.

A home valued at $500,000 would see a total increase of $211.77.
