Kimberley residents can expect some traffic impacts as construction begins on a section of St. Mary’s Avenue.
Work is slated to begin this week and will last until early October.
The city enhancing the underground water, sewer, and storm systems on the section of St. Mary’s Avenue, from Ross Street/Highway 95A to Wallinger Avenue.
Crews will also replace the retaining wall on Spokane Street, reconstruct the road and do sidewalk redevelopment.
City staff say that work will improve services and accessibility in the area and extend the Platzl feel through Spokane Street and St. Mary’s Avenue.
Residents can expect road closures, intermittent parking impacts, noise, vibrations, dust and occasional water shutoffs.
Access to city hall will be maintained but there will be no parking availability directly in front of City Hall.
