Series tied after wild triple overtime Bucks win

The Cranbrook Bucks are heading back to Trail tied up at two a piece after a come from behind 7-6 overtime win on Wednesday.

Bucks forward Blake Cotton scored a hattrick, getting the first goal of the game, the tying goal late in the third period and the overtime winner in third overtime.

Bucks captain Bryce Sookro also stood out, tallying one goal and two assists in last night’s game.

The Bucks’ best defenseman may also be the top defensemen in the league.

The BCHL released their three finalists for the top defenceman award and named Sookro.

The Sherwood Park Crusaders’ Connor Gengle and Nolan Stevenson of the Nelson Leafs were the other two finalists.

“He’s emerged into arguably the best defenceman in our league and an MVP for our team,” head coach Ryan Donald said.

“He does a lot and plays a ton of minutes.”

Sookro led all defenceman in points this regular season.

The Bucks will be back on the ice for Game 5 tomorrow in Trail.
