City getting Kinsmen spray park ready for summer

Cranbrook public works and the Kinsmen Club have been working together over the winter to get the Kinsmen spray park open this summer.

After a lot of searching, public works director Tony Hetu says they found a Canadian company that can supply new features for the park.

“Finding a company that was willing to work with our existing infrastructure was difficult, but we’ve managed to find one in Kelowna,” he said.

“They’re a Canadian company and they build all their own features.”

He says the Kinsmen Club has raised the money for this project and their hoping to do more in the future.

“The Kinsmen Club has worked hard to fund raise for this project and they plan on fundraising more to resurface the spray park and add more features in the future.”

Hetu expects the new features to arrive in the next couple of months.
