City warns of parking ticket text scam

Cranbrook residents are once again being targeted by text scammers claiming they owe money on parking tickets.

The city says the texts do not specifically say it is from the “City of Cranbrook,” but it asks you to open a link in the message.

You should not open that link, instead, you should report the message as junk and delete it.

“We will never text you about a parking infraction,” said the City.

“Please be aware and stay safe online!”

Residents were targeted with the same parking ticket scam in January.
