Toby Creek dike upgrades to disrupt park foot traffic

Crews with the District of Invermere are working on improvements to the dike along Toby Creek, which will disrupt foot traffic through Ray Brydon Dog Park.

District officials say this work will involve clearing the brush from the park’s right-of-way ahead of future construction.

The improvements are meant to meet increased water flows anticipated by the District.

Officials say there will be falling trees, brushing and chipping, so the dike area of the dog park will be closed.

Crews will be active for up to two weeks from 7:30 am until 5 pm each day until the work is wrapped up.
