Cranbrook RCMP seeking man wanted on endorsed warrant

Cranbrook RCMP is seeking a 40-year-old man who is wanted on an endorsed warrant.

Police officials say Nickolas Stelmacker is facing charges of flight from police, obstructing a police officer and driving while prohibited.

Stelmacker is described as standing 5’10” (178 centimetres) and weighing about 155 pounds (70 kilograms). Police say he has brown hair, blue eyes and pockmarked skin.

Any information about Stelmacker’s whereabouts can be reported to the Cranbrook RCMP detachment at 250-489-3471 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

“Nickolas Stelmacker is considered dangerous and should not be approached. If you locate him, contact your local police immediately,” said Cranbrook RCMP.

Stelmacker is featured on the detachment’s Wanted Wednesday.

Staff Sergeant Barry Graham says the program is a massive help for the local detachment.

“Having the public help us out gives us more eyes and ears, it’s so beneficial,” said Graham.

“Our time on the road is limited and just hoping you happen to find someone at a random place and time, it’s not always the best policy. Having the public help and in-tune with what’s going on in the community really helps our process a lot.”
