Truck rollover closes Highway 95 and cuts power

Highway 95 remains closed and power to parts of the Columbia Valley has been knocked out after a logging trucks rolled over near Edgewater this afternoon, February 19.

Emergency responders were called out around 2:20pm, with the Edgewater Fire Department is on site with 2 pieces of apparatus and 6 members.

The driver of the truck has been transported to hospital with minor injuries and BC Hydro has been notified.

The highway will be re-opened once the logs have been cleared.

Motorists are urged to check the Drive BC website for the latest update on when the road will be re-opened and the BC Hydro Outages page for updates on when power is expected to be fully restored.
