Couple of Bucks commit to college

Two Cranbrook Bucks forwards have committed to Division 1 NCAA teams.

Kaslo Ferner has decided to continue his hockey career with the University of Vermont.

Ferner has had a strong start to the season for the Bucks with 19 points in 22 games.

His 12 goals are also the second most on the team.

While the Bucks’ leading goal scorer Rasmus Svartstrom has also committed to a college team signing with St. Lawrence University.

Svartstrom has put up 20 goals and six assists for 26 points in 25 games.

While he’s first on the team in goals, Svartstrom is also tied for the league lead in goals scored.
