Pair of all-candidates forums to go ahead in Sparwood and Fernie

Elk Valley residents can learn more about the candidates running in the provincial election at a pair of All-Candidates forums in Fernie and Sparwood.

The forums will be an opportunity for voters to meet the candidates and ask them questions ahead of the provincial election.

“Residents are invited to attend in person and to submit proposed questions in advance for their MLA candidates,” said the Sparwood Chamber of Commerce.

“The participating candidates will answer questions selected from these advance submissions during the forum.”

Questions for both events must be submitted beforehand online, and the Fernie Chamber will accept written questions at the forum.

However, no questions will be taken from the floor.

The doors to both events will open at 6:30 p.m. and the forums will start at 7 p.m.

Sparwood’s event will go ahead at the Causeway Bay Hotel’s Emerald Room on Tuesday, Oct. 8 and you can submit questions here.

The following night, the candidates will head to Fernie’s Park Place Lodge for the second forum event. You can submit any questions here by Oct 6.
