Two arrested after violent assault

The Southeast District Emergency Response Team and Containment Team has arrested two people in connection to a violent assault that took place on August 4.

Jeremy Raymond Osborne and Chantelle Josephine Van Woudenberg were taken into custody without incident in the St. Mary’s Reserve on August 16.

RCMP officials said the operation was carefully planned and executed to ensure public safety.

Both have been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon, while Osborne has also been charged with uttering threats and dangerous operation of a conveyance.

Police said they won’t be giving further details at this time, but will provide updates as the investigation continues.
