Canal Flats council member resigns, by-election to come

Canal Flats Village Council Member Jennifer Noble has resigned from her position.

Mayor Mark Doherty said she was an asset to the team during her time in office.

“Councillor Noble has made meaningful contributions to our community, particularly in advancing our housing priority and advocating for highway speed reduction,” said Doherty.

“Her efforts in these areas have helped to create positive changes and improvements for our community.”

A by-election is scheduled for this fall, with more details to come.

“We thank Jennifer for her service to our municipality,” said Doherty.

“While we will miss her presence on the council, we respect her decision to step down and wish her well in her future endeavours.”
