Fernie hockey player joins Canucks coaching staff

Fernie’s Jason Krog has joined the Canucks organization as a skills and skating coach.

Krog was previously the assistant coach of Burnaby Winter Club U15 Varsity and Simon Fraser University.

He will be working with players in Vancouver as well as the organization’s AHL affiliate in Abbotsford.

Krog had a playing career that spanned 25 years, starting with the Creston Valley Thunder of the Rocky Mountain Junior Hockey League.

He played for five NHL teams over the course of his career including the Canucks. His longest stint was two seasons with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
