The City of Kimberley has welcomed a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to help manage the city’s finances.
The city has brought Krista Waite into the role from her position as Kimberley’s Deputy Chief Financial Officer.
Officials said she is a long-time employee with Kimberley, first as a finance assistant in 2005, then being promoted to Financial Accountant before serving as Deputy CFO since 2014.
“I am pleased to accept my new position as Chief Financial Officer,” said Waite.
“After eighteen years with the City of Kimberley, I look forward to contributing further to the community’s success.”
Waite was born and raised in Kimberley and brings a wealth of experience into the role.
She earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation from Laurentian University.
“The City of Kimberley is confident that Waite’s extensive experience and commitment to Kimberley will greatly benefit the municipality as she steps into this pivotal role,” said city officials.
