Kimberley begins annual paving program

Crews with the City of Kimberley will be working on roads through the community over the coming weeks as the annual paving program gets underway.

City officials said this year’s paving program began on Tuesday, with work set to focus mainly on neighbourhood roads and the Kimberley Cemetery.

Officials anticipate minimal disruption for most residents, but those impacted by the work areas will be notified.

Access to the cemetery may be limited while repair work is underway from May 21 to 31.

“We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve this important community space,” said city officials.

Drivers are asked to be cautious and obey signs, on-site staff and detours that may be in place.
