Columbia Valley RCMP reminding public to keep vehicles locked

Columbia Valley RCMP is reminding the public to keep their vehicles locked after an increasing number of calls about items getting stolen.

Police officials said several reports of people’s vehicles getting rummaged through over the past week.

“The vehicles being targeted are unlocked, allowing easy access. To prevent becoming a victim of this type of crime, lock your vehicles, even when they are in your driveway, and don’t keep any valuables inside,” said RCMP officials.

If you have any information about the vehicle break-ins you can contact the Columbia Valley RCMP at 250-342-9292.
