Mount Baker RV campground opening delayed

Cranbrook’s Mount Baker RV campground re-opening has been delayed to May 8.

The campground was supposed to open on May 1 after water service work was completed, however, public works crews had to be pulled from the project temporarily to deal with a significant emergency water infrastructure repair on 7th Street South last Thursday.

They are resuming work and it should be completed by the end of the week.

Crews may still be doing clean-up and some landscaping work when the park opens, but city staff said there should be no impact on the campground operations.

The city recently announced that the RV campground would be operated as a no-service site.

However, there will be a wash building and sani-dump and power hookups will be available at most of the sites.
