The Revelstoke Grizzlies are the 2024 Mowat Cup BC Junior A champions after knocking out the Ridge Meadows Flames in overtime 3-2.

The Grizzlies got the game-winning goal from Colton McLeod on the power play.

“It’s an amazing achievement what these guys did, I’m so proud of this group,” said head coach Jiri Novak.

The Grizzlies were already coming off winning the KIJHL Teck Cup, but have now added their second provincial championship in a row.

“It’s kind of just the cherry on the top of what we achieved,” he said.

“It’s an awesome season that I will never forget. It is something special. It’s back-to-back provincial champions. It shows the class of this organization.”

The Kimberley Dynamiters were the host team for this year’s championship but didn’t get the result on the ice that they wanted.

The Nitros lost the bronze medal matchup against the Saanich Predators, getting shutout 3-0.
