Rockies sign two players for next season

The Columbia Valley Rockies are getting right into the offseason business, signing two players for next year.

The team signed 18-year-old defenceman Shawn Minnabarriet, who was playing for the Thompson Blazers U18 AAA.

He scored one goal and five assists in 31 games and racked up 91 penalty minutes.

Minnabarriet was also a call-up for the Chase Heat last year and played in one KIJHL game.

The Rockies continue to load up their blueline by signing defenceman Chance Cole.

Cole played for Prairie Hockey Academy U18 Prep last season tallying one goal and seven assists in 21 games.
