The City of Fernie has installed new welcome signs.
Fernie mayor Nic Milligan says it was a much-needed upgrade.
I like them and they’ve been a long time coming,” he said.
“It is consistent with our Fernie brand and it’s an opportunity to modernize the signage and make the community more welcoming and attractive.”
The project was grant-funded through the Government of BC’s Tourism Dependent Communities Fund.
Mayor Milligan says they just need to do some landscaping work once the snow melts in the spring.
