East Kootenay residents can partake in some free skiing on Jan. 14 as the Kimberley Alpine Resort hosts its community day.
Lift tickets will be free Canal Flats, Skookumchuck, Meadowbrook, Ta Ta Creek, Kimberley, Marysville, Wasa, Wycliffe, Moyie, Wardner, Creston and Cranbrook residents.
You will need to provide a photo ID and proof of residency.
There will be a BBQ with proceeds going to East Kootenay Adaptive Snowsports.
Ski and snowboard rentals will be 20 per cent off and private ski and board lessons will be on sale for up to 50 per cent off.
