2023 CP Holiday Train tour to make East Kootenay stops next week

The Canadian Pacific holiday train will be rolling into town next week bringing Christmas cheer and food bank donations.

The holiday train will make its first local stop in Sparwood on Dec. 12 with the event going from 3:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.

It will then head over to Fernie, Jaffray and then end the day in Cranbrook.

The full event times can be found here.

The train tour raises money, food and awareness for local food banks.

CPKC donates to local food shelters at every stop and residents are encouraged to bring their own donations.

Since its inception in 1999, more than $22.5 million and more than 5 million pounds of food have been raised for food banks across North America.
