Dynamiters Begin Road Trip Thursday in 100 Mile House

The Kimberley Dynamiters are in 100 Mile House on Thursday for the start of a three-game road trip, as team-leader Brock Palmer is nearing a significant milestone for the KIJHL club.

Kimberley is looking to keep its nine-game winning streak alive as they remain the KIJHL’s top team with 21 wins through 24 games. With 43 points this season, the Dynamiters are four points ahead of the Kelowna Chiefs and six ahead of the Revelstoke Grizzlies.

League-leading scorer Brock Palmer (28G, 31A, 59P) could also reach a milestone on Thursday with the Dynamiters. The 20-year-old is just two points away from 200 in his KIJHL career and 16 back from becoming the all-time scoring leader in Kimberley Dynamiters history. In his career, Palmer (80G, 118A) has 198 points in 116 games, which is now just 16 away from Jared Marchi (97G, 117A) who remains the franchise leader with 214 points in 228 games. Prior to puck drop on Thursday, Palmer is also third all-time for assists and fifth all-time for goals scored.

Palmer will look to breakthrough in those individual stat categories on Thursday while primarily helping the team extend their nine-game winning streak as Kimberley and 100 Mile House hit the ice at 6:00 pm from the South Cariboo Rec Centre.

The Dynamiters then continue their road trip on Friday when they battle the Sicamous Eagles, before eventually closing out the trip on Saturday against the Chase Heat.
