The District of Elkford is getting ready for Elkforward Fest which will kick off the official community plan update engagement process.
There will be a community event to bring people out on Oct. 24.
Activities will include a BBQ, live music and a beer garden.
The OCP is the long-term planning for the community and outlines the vision, goals, policies and strategies for future growth and development.
The current OCP is nearly 14 years old.
