Cranbrook Public Works crews fixing water leak along Highway 3

Part of the southbound lane along Highway 3 in Cranbrook will be closed for most of the day on Wednesday while crews fix a water main leak.

City officials said the leak was found near the Prestige Inn, by the intersection with 3rd Avenue.

Both southbound lanes are closed while crews work on repairs, but City officials said traffic is flowing smoothly through the area.

Drivers are asked to look out for signs and flaggers on the road.

“Please slow down and use caution around this construction zone,” said city officials. “We hope to have things repaired and the road fully open by late afternoon.”
