Fire Smart event happening for Indian Beach Estates residents

Indian Beach Estates residents are being encouraged to participate in a Fire Smart event at the end of the month.

The event will take place on Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

RDEK officials said the goal is to unite the community to collectively remove fuels and increase Indian Beach Estates’ resilience to wildfire.

Residents are asked to meet at the Marina Parking Lot.
