The City of Fernie is reminding residents that a water quality advisory is still in place.
The advisory was first issued on July 20.
Due to regional drought, the city had to switch from the secondary source James White Wells to the Fairy Creek source.
The Fairy Creek source has been seeing increased turbidity.
The city is asking residents to conserve water.
Interior Health recommends that children, the elderly, people with weakened immune systems and anyone seeking additional protection drink boiled water or a safe alternative until further notice.
