Interior Health has issued a drug alert for the Cranbrook area after multiple overdoses.
The drugs are being sold as fentanyl and down. They look like blue or turquoise chunks.
Interior Health said the risk of overdose is high, as well as amnesia and sleepiness.
They encourage getting drugs checked before use.
The alert will be in place until Sept. 13.
