The winner of 2day FM’s Ed Sheeran Contest Giveaway got to be a part of a record-breaking performance.
Lori Robertson tells us how the concert went.
“Super exciting and so electric with the light show,” she said. “Ed was humble and exciting.”
There were 65,061 fans in attendance beating a record set in 2009.
“They had U2 in 2009 and I think it was around 63,000 people,” Robertson said.
The exact number was 63,802 fans.
“Ed Sheeran’s historic performance not only brought joy to thousands of fans but also showcased Vancouver’s welcoming spirit,” said Lana Popham, British Columbia’s Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport in a release.
“We’re grateful for artists like Ed Sheeran who contribute to our city’s vibrant cultural landscape and create memorable experiences for both locals and visitors. Congratulations to both Ed Sheeran and BC Place for an incredible achievement”.
