There are no longer any wildfires of note in our region.
The Horsethief Creek blaze was the last remaining one in our area, but it’s been downgraded as control lines are holding well.
Crews will still be doing work on our local fires including drone scans to identify areas where heat remains so crews can extinguish them.
Resources are also being pulled from our local fires to assist in other areas of the province.
The region is expected to get some rain this week but fire activity is supposed to increase in the northern region of B.C. again.
