The District of Invermere will be starting its flushing of the community’s water system next week.
Watermain flushing is done twice a year.
Crews will be conducting the flushing from Sept. 5 to Oct. 10.
There may be some short interruptions in the water service and temporary discoloration of water as a result of the sediment and organic materials that are being flushed from the water mains,” said district staff.
“During this period, disinfection by chlorination will be continued.”
If you experience persistent discoloration or odour problems with the water you’re asked to contact the municipal office.
