Radium irrigation system shut down due to Stage 2 water restrictions

The Village of Radium Hot Spring’s irrigation system has been shut off since the community is under Stage 2 watering restrictions.

This means the Splash Park system is also shut off.

Village staff said it’s necessary to ensure the capacity of the water plant is maintained.

Stage 2 restrictions have been in place since July 24.

Outdoor watering of lawns, gardens, trees, food plants and landscaped areas can only be watered by hand with a hose with an automatic shutoff or a hand-held canister.

Even numbered civic addresses can water on even numbered calendar days between the hours of 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to midnight.

The same goes for odd-numbered homes but on odd-numbered days.

All other outdoor water use is prohibited.
