The District of Sparwood has issued an evacuation alert for four properties on Matevic Road due to the Lladnar Creek Fire.
The properties on alert include 1240 Matevic Road, 1280 Matevic Road, 1300 Matevic Road and 1400 Matevic Road.
Residents don’t need to leave at this time but they should be getting ready in case an order is issued.
A response officer will be on site to take an aerial track of the fire to get an accurate estimate of the fire’s size.
It’s believed to be lightning caused.
