The B.C. government has issued an air quality advisory due to the heavy smoke blanketing the region.
People should do what they can to reduce exposure to smoke.
This includes staying inside as much as possible, drinking lots of fluids, and running an air filter in your home.
The City of Cranbrook is also reminding residents that the public library and the Western Financial Place are both open to people looking to get out of the smoke or heat.
Cranbrook’s air quality is currently a seven, which is considered high risk.
