The City of Fernie is asking residents to conserve water so they don’t need to switch to the Fairy Creek water source.
The city is currently getting water from the James White Wells.
The Fairy Creek source is seeing increased turbidity levels so switching to that source would result in a water quality advisory.
Odd-numbered addresses are to only water lawns on odd-numbered days and vice-versa.
Lawns can only be watered between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. and for only an hour.
