Kimberley gets set for Julyfest

It’s that time of year again as Kimberley residents get ready for Julyfest festivities.

Mayor Don McCormick says it’s a special year.

“It’s the middle of July in Kimberley so that must mean it’s Julyfest time and this year is pretty special because it’s the 50th anniversary of Julyfest,”

“I think the chamber of commerce who plans this event has some special things in store and I’m really looking forward to it as I know much of the community is.”

The event will feature a bocce championship, a market, music and of course the parade.

“I really enjoy the parade,” the mayor said.

“The parade is local, it’s all about the community and it’s very eclectic. I’m really looking forward to it again this year.”

The parade starts at 10:30 on Saturday, but Julyfest itself runs from Friday until Sunday.

The full schedule of events can be found here.
