An accident between two vehicles left two dead on Thursday in Kootenay National Park.
Police said a car was driving westbound on Highway 93 when it crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic.
An SUV was unable to avoid the car resulting in a head-on collision between both vehicles.
Sadly, the two occupants of the car were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The SUV had three occupants who were all taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police don’t believe alcohol was a factor.
