The City of Fernie is providing recycling information so residents can be ready for upcoming collection changes.
The new curbside recycling program will start on July 6 for Area 1 residents before it moves to Area 2 residents on July 13 as well.
City staff said bins cant be overloaded and additional waste can’t be placed on top of the lid.
Glass also can’t be recycled using the blue bins, however, glass can be brought to the Fernie Transfer Station.

Recycling will still be collected every other week.
