Fairmont Hot Springs Resort has been purchased by Vancouver-based Aldesta Hotels and Resorts.
“This acquisition marks another milestone in Aldesta’s strategic expansion plans and strengthens its position as a premier provider of luxury accommodations and exceptional guest experiences,” said Aldesta.
“The resort is home to a variety of recreational activities, including three golf courses, a ski hill with 14 runs, full service spa and fine dining options. The resort also boasts Canada’s largest mineral hot springs, a major attraction for visitors from around the world.”
The exact price of the almost 500 hectare resort has not been disclosed.
However, it was valued in the range of $50 million, said Colliers International’s senior vice president Mark Lester in an interview with the CBC.
“We are thrilled to add the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort to our portfolio of exceptional properties,” said Stuart Hammond, Vice President of Hotel Operations for Aldesta Hotels and Resorts. “This acquisition aligns perfectly with our strategy to acquire and operate properties that offer guests unforgettable experiences in some of the world’s most spectacular destinations.”
Aldesta officials said they will invest in the resort and keep it as a welcoming destination for visitors.
“Guests can expect a seamless transition during the acquisition process, with no interruption to the exceptional service and memorable experiences they have come to expect from Fairmont Hot Springs Resort,” said Aldesta staff. “Aldesta Hotels and Resorts is dedicated to upholding the resort’s legacy while introducing new elements that will further enhance guest satisfaction.”
