Cranbrook to close Aquatic Centre for annual maintenance

Cranbrook’s Aquatic Centre will be closed for two weeks for its annual maintenance shut-down.

The closure will start on Monday, June 19 and reopen on Monday, July 3.

Crews will use the closure to work on the lane pools, hot tub, sauna, and steam room.

“We have a few important projects scheduled to help keep our facility running smoothly for all our aquatic centre users. The pools and hot tub will be drained and cleaned, with new pool pumps being installed and some tile repair and cleaning on the pool deck and change rooms,” said City officials.

“We’ll also be installing a new diving board. New LED lighting and duct work repair and cleaning is scheduled for the changerooms Our HVAC system will undergo some maintenance work and cleaning, with window cleaning and some painting.”
