Sparwood has published its annual municipal report for 2022, providing an overview of the district’s projects, activities and budget.
Mayor David Wilks said the report gives the public an opportunity to gain some insight into municipal operations.
“It’s important to provide constituents with details on how the local government is running. It shows that we run a balanced budget, so everything we bring in from taxes is all we can spend,” said Wilks.
The 2022 Annual Municipal Report will be presented to Sparwood’s District Council on Tuesday, June 20.
Residents are invited to look through the report and submit comments.
“It will guide us in the future for the next year and beyond,” said Wilks. “It shows us what the community wants to see their money spent on.”
