Kimberley RCMP investigating assault by unknown suspect

Police in Kimberley are looking for a man who they believe attacked a woman near Mark Creek.

Kimberley RCMP officials said the incident happened on Monday, May 22 at 7:16 p.m. across from the Mine Tour yard.

According to police, the female victim was struck from behind with an unknown object.

The man believed to be behind the incident fled the area and headed towards the ski hill.

Police describe the suspect as a six-foot-tall man with light skin and dark hair and a moustache. At the time, he was wearing a red or orange bike shirt and padded shorts.

“The Kimberley RCMP is asking anyone with video surveillance in the area to check to see if they have any images/video of the possible suspect,” said Kimberley RCMP officials.
