Elk Valley police search for stolen vehicle

The Elk Valley RCMP is looking for a 2009 black Chevrolet Cobalt reported stolen from the Valley Forest Service Road on Saturday.

Police said a man was camping with some friends near the location and had parked his car along the service road near Sparwood.

The vehicle was last seen around 12:30 a.m. and when he returned to the spot the next morning the sedan was gone.

Police said the vehicle was not towed away by any local tow operators, but they couldn’t find any evidence of who may have taken the truck.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Elk Valley RCMP at 250-425-6233 or BC Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
