Cranbrook residents and business owners will start seeing their property tax notices coming in the mail.
City officials said taxes and homeowner grants are due by Tuesday, July 4, or a 10 per cent penalty will be applied to your amount.
If you are using pre-authorized payments for your property taxes, you should look over your tax notice carefully, as you may have an outstanding amount.
Officials said this is because your prepayment amount was based on an estimate.
If you overpaid, the remaining amount will be put towards your first payment for 2024.
You can pay in person at city hall, with non-cash payment preferred.
City staff said Cranbrook will take payments using a post-dated cheque, debit card, and credit card.
You can also pay through online or phone banking, or Cranbrook’s online payment portal.
Residents can also apply to have a portion of their property taxes on their principal residence paid by the provincial government through the low-interest loan program.
