Cranbrook seeking feedback on solid waste collection

Cranbrook residents are asked to provide their thoughts on the city’s solid waste collection services.

City officials said this is a way for Cranbrook to gauge current services and plan for the future, such as the possibility of introducing organics collection.

Staff are working on getting public feedback on the changing needs of households while understanding the community’s desire going into the future.

“Providing public services like solid waste collection is one of the core functions we do as a municipality,” said Evan Berry, Project Manager with the City of Cranbrook. “We strive to offer the services that our residents want in the most cost-effective way that we can. Sharing your input with us through this process is vital to ensure we’re providing the services you want and need.”

Information gathered through the survey will help decide future decision-making for any possible changes to Cranbrook’s solid waste collection services.

The questionnaire is available until Monday, June 19, with an online version found below, or printed copies available at City Hall, the pool desk at Western Financial Place or the Cranbrook Public Library.
