Crews have a handle on the Mitchell Ridge wildfire east of Radium Hot Springs.
The last size update had the blaze at 288 hectares.
The fire is now being held, which means it is not likely to spread beyond predetermined boundaries.
Kootenay National Park officials say the recent rain and cooler weather helped crews attack the wildfire.
It was discovered on Sunday and is believed to be lightning-caused.
