Chipping event being held for Indian Beach Estates residents

Indian Beach Estates residents are asked to come out to a chipping event to help mitigate wildfires and be FireSmart.

“Indian Beach has earned the status of being a FireSmart Canada Nationally Recognized Neighbourhood and continues to work on common areas in their community to increase their resilience to wildfire,” says Local FireSmart Representative, Yvan Kathriner.

“By taking on these projects together, they are working toward a result that is beneficial for everyone.”

The event will take place on June 3. Residents are asked to arrive at the IBE Pump House from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Work will be focused on the natural area within Indian Beach Road and Crescent.

You are asked to bring your own gloves and safety glasses.
