Ghostrider forward signs with Div. III school

A forward with the Fernie Ghostriders will be playing for the Southern Maine University Huskies.

Ethan MacDuff led the Ghostriders with 65 points in 43 games.

He said the school looks like a good fit to continue his hockey career.

“They have a really good program and I’ve talked to the coach quite a bit and some of the captains have reached out to me. It seems it will be a good fit for me.”

He played 86 career games with the Ghostriders and put up 47 goals and 103 points during that time.

“I was playing with good players too and I’m excited to be playing with good players again at the next level,” said MacDuff.

“The Fernie organization made me feel so comfortable and gave me so many opportunities that I was able to develop into the player and person I am. The KIJHL is a huge development league for young athletes trying to move to the next level.”
