The skills park and dirt jumps on the grounds of the Fernie Aquatic Centre will be closed until next Friday.
The Fernie Trails Alliance is doing the work to improve the flow of the park, improve transition lines and make the park safer.
Work started on Monday with partial closures to remove rocks and logs.
The park will be fully closed from May 17-26.
The redevelopment is being funded by the Resort Municipality Initiative.
